Sunday was a kick but day at the mouth of the Wallace. The water was really high but if you fish the main part of the river with your back to the mouth of the Wallace you have a good chance. Hooked on small fish about 3 pounds on one of Bob's rags that I learned how to make on this site. My buddy hooked and landed a chrome 4-5 pounder on the same setup, oh ya we also had eggs with the rag set up. I saw another guy catch a 12 and a 3 pounder on corky and eggs and at least three other fish landed on a bobber floating eggs. Guys were wading out and casting right were the dead water meets the current, almost all fish hooked on the tailouts part of the drift, were the water was slower. If driftfishing let it sit their at the end of the drift for about 30 seconds, kind of like plunking, thats when me and my buddy both hooked up. I had never tried letting the eggs sit like that at the end of a drift before, normally just reel up and cast again but it works, anyone else ever had success doing this before? Can you use the rags without eggs? smile
