It's pretty easy to figure out Ryan, GREED

Yeah, there's more fish than usual this year, but there's also ALOT more people trying to catch them. We don't like it when we can't go out and catch sh*tloads of fish without anyone else around. Research shows that when rats are crowded together, they become more agressive. People are the same way (think road rage) Everyone wants to have their fishing experience be peaceful, uncrowded, and most of all, productive. When we hike in to our favorite hole on our zipperlip river, and there are 10 guys there already, it REALLY pisses us off (it really pisses me off anyway) Basic human nature has us wired to look out for ourselves first, and screw everyone else. The saddest part is that Washington is only going to get MORE crowded, and I seriously doubt that we will be able to sustain the kind of salmon and steelhead runs that we are seeing this year.

As hard as it will be (again for me anyway) to learn to not get so angry when we feel crowded in, it seems like the only solution to a no-win problem. Either that, or take up bird-watching. laugh
