I Drained 50 gallons of diesel out of a sailboat with one of those little brass hand pumps you can get at west marine. I hooked up a small chunk of garden hose to the suction and once I got the siphon started it flowed pretty good. You can get the pumps for 10 to 15 bucks or so. They are also good for pumping oil out of the crankcase as well.

you'll want to drain your carberator as well.
