Additional Forecaster Comments:
A major flare occurred on the Sun on Sunday morning (Alaska time). The resulting shock should reach Earth in the early evening on Monday (Alaska time), causing active aurora. If activity becomes high enough, it is possible that interior Alaska may actually be too far poleward to see the most spectacular displays. Anchorage or even Seattle may be better positioned.
