When I was a kid in the mid seventies, my stepdad and his partner used hoochies extensively. They would stick a corky up in the head for floatation, and fish them on a standard drift rig. They put many big fish in the boat using this technique, and they always had the gear off the rods when we hit the takeout.

I'm going back to this technique in search of bigger nates late in the year. I'd rate their effectiveness right up there with the worm. Since my granddad just gave me a bazillion hoochies from his now retired tackle box, I'm going to put them to use.

I figured Redneck would develop some new technique using baits intended for those "B" fish. He'll be down at barrier dam with some Strike King spinner bait, find some suicidal hatchery fish, and then he'll be all set to become Strike King's western rep. for tackle. Spinner baits, jerk baits, pink worms on a Carolina rig...........the possibilities are endless.
