Headed to the Sandy today in search of some winter freshies. Water was a bit high and quick above the Dodge Park area, but the color was great. Seemed to be on the drop as we left around noon. No fish, but plenty of lost gear to make it interesting. Even the pink jig couldn't tempt one of the movers.
Stopped for lunch on the way to Woodland, and almost had the other guys convinced to fish a smaller stream, but general consensus said onward to the dam controlled green stream. Lewis was great. Better color than the Sandy, but still flowin a little quick. Anyways, some nice summers still available and some new chromers were seen flyin above the water and trailing the dead silvers. Unfortunatly, the winter threw the sandshrimo after having a taste of hook. Oh well, my buddy was still pumped to have hooked it and two decent looking silvers that were released. All in all it geared us up for the newbies laugh
