I know this is a fishing chat room but I need some help. I elk hunted in the Stampede unit this year and found very few elk and signs that someone was posting that said "the reason you are not seeing animals is because the indians have been rifle hunting them since September 1st." I e-mailed the F&G to see if this was true. Without telling me a simple yes or no, they just told me that they had no jurisdiction over them and to check with the tribe(s). What tribe? This is public land. Where can I find out when and where they can hunt.
