This is something I have complained about for years and each year it seems they release the numbers later and later. I went into the Montesano office last week to enquire about the new numbers and they didn't seem to have a clue. One guy guessed after the new year.

This is a crock when you consider hatchery runs are earlier. It does no good to get the numbers when 2/3 of the run is through.

Another thing I can't fathom is these fish were planted 2 years previous so the numbers have been around for 2 years, correct? Why is it so hard to have them printed by, say, November when guys can plan accordingly? I'll fish regardless of course, but the numbers do have some importance focusing on or avoiding rivers that have a different planting schedule than in the past
