Well.....see its this way.....BC(before computers), people went for a drive, checked things out for themselves. Now for some reason, this has changed.....that's too bad!!!!

1. Check river flow before your leave home, many rivers have that information now.

2. Drive to the river, start writing notes, and mileage readings. How the water looks, look at the banks to see if its been dropping, althought river flows from #1 would show you that.

3. If you see cars and trucks parked along side the road...might be a good place to "go for a walk and just look"....might even be room for you to fish.

4. If you do the above 1,2 and 3, often enough, then you won't have to depend on others to "scout for you"........you'll know!!!!!
