The salmonids ability to quickly adapt to new environmental situations can be both good and bad. In hatcheries it is believed that in one generation a population can develop phenotypic characteristics from the hatchery’s artificial environment that lead to poor survival in the wild. I also believe that given time a domesticated strain of salmonids could adapt to river conditions and successfully populate a given river system. However, if we want what is best for our fish as well as our fishermen we should limit the number of stupid, retarded, inbreed, domesticated, hatchery trash fish allowed to spawn in our rivers…

But that’s just my opinion…
