Last year I was doing some exploring on the upper Sauk. It was a nice day (about 70 degrees and sunny), but the water was like ice (I was wading in shorts and could not stay in the water for more that 10 seconds or so - and I'm used to wading wet...).

Anyway, i made my way around a bend enjoying the beauty (ie not catching many fish) and admiring the crystal clear ice water, when I spot 2 teanage boys standing chest deep in the freezing river - giggling (the sound and look reminded me of the movie 'deliverance' - is that a banjo i hear?). Then I realized that the water was really only about knee to waist deep, and that they were squatting down. When they saw me, they quickly stood up, pulled up their pants and made there way to the bank - laughing and carrying on. About 30 seconds later is when I saw it. A 6" brown trout. AKA - a floater - heading right at me!! I got back on shore in a hurry and had an inckling to go whoop some a$$, but I was too grossed out and just wanted to go take a shower...
