I've always tried to use 1 syllable names. Lu, Em, Oz, Sid. Do you have an 'ex' you don't like or a sister-in-law that's a pain in the ____.
Make sure the name doesn't rhyme with commands like -- down, stay, whup, no, fetch, come, here, etc. etc..
