went to the salmon on new years day and hooked an unbelievable amount of fish. So many that I lost count. I was releasing them because the adipose was still in-tact on all fish. The park ranger later came and told me that none of the fish you catch there will be clipped. They just assume that they are all hatchery fish. The question is: How are you supposed to keep only hatchery fish when neither the nates or the hatchery brats are clipped. What the heck is the difference?
15 fish days are sure fun though. Try a nightmare jig with 4 ft. of flourocarbon leader. Guaranteed to knock em' dead.
