Sid, they are actually called a hooktail worm and they are the 4 inch version. They work great fished on a jighead below a float as you would fish a jig. The hooktail has great action in the water when you hold back on the float, depending on how much you hold back on the float varies the action in the tail. I take an inch off the head of the worm before I thread it on the jighead, you'll need a collared jighead to hold the worm in place or it will slip down the hook. It's absolutely deadly on natives and also works well on both hatchery summer and winter runs. I've had them nearly rip the rod out of my hands on the swing at the end of the drift! A straight tail worm works better for drift fishing but on a jighead the hooktail is the way to go. I'll have some pics on the site of the worms soon. E-mail me about a float, I may be up for that.
