I would like to thank all the people, who provded their expertise regarding smaller rivers ability to handle large increases of anglers, and still retain their escapement goals of hatchery and wild fish. Since the state gave up on these paticular rivers, and the tribe took over the hatchery, and all responsability of providing a sport fishery, the massive amount of plants 25,000 winter steelhead, yearly, that go into these rivers provide everbody with a sense of security that no harm could be done, with a few more anglers out there. I mean a complete closure of any salmon fishing that is now in effect om these rivers even though these rivers maintain very good habitat protection and most of the spawning grounds are basicaly unreachable, and are in the best known habitat areas of our state should not cause any worries to some tourist fisherman. Hey Yall I shouldnt care Im from Seattle right. Does it matter that I travel over there 1 to 3 times weekly, Im retired at 35yrs old, married to a fishing/Gal and my job in life is to fish period 217 day trips in 2001/fresh and salt, I do volunteer work at the hatchery in question, and do many hours of trash pick up in the summer, from all the campers and poachers that dont care either. must be Seattliets.I did 2 internships in fisheries while living in SE alaska, and was the Vice President of a local chapter of trout unlimited until i saw the political games that go on within that organazation. But Hey Yall,Dans I could never question any of your ultimate wisdom on any fishing matters or dead horses, whos beating the dead horses?? You guys complain about lurkers you guys you know who you are, but dont have a clue that people dont think its much fun or worth their time to bring to the board any topics that could question your wisdom and expert knowledge om a wide range of issues.Other people can be passionate about issues that dont interst you and they deserve a say without concerns of backlashes from you guys. My first post was answered with comments about my writing and spelling abilities do you think i give a FU-- about that my education has given me a life most fishing guys have wet dreams about. And to answer Dans question about my CNR issues with the WDFW. Your right i did not respond by writing them a letter, I just called Pat Patillos office and Dick Geist to. Waiting for a response from Evan Jacoby or Brenda Kane.Since I have worked with them on issues relating to overharvest of chinook and coho stocks on the green river watershed, due to mostly muckelshoot Fisheries practices, and the states non participaton in managing this fishery.I actualy *****ed so much i was given Go Ahead on a yearly basis to monitor the tribal gill net fishery aboard the enforcement boat with biologist Mike Mahavalich.First time an observer was allowed aboard for this fishery. But Who Cares Yall..let the flames begin....
