I have had nothing but good experiences ,as a banky with drift boats on the Sol Duc.I have even had a couple of guys pick me up in there boat,to give me a hand with a stubborn king.As a bankie on the sol duc I either am fishing down low or up above.Down low the boats usually don't reach me untill mid mornig so if it is a guide I usually take a break and let them at it.
When I am up above I usually get a look like What the hell are you doing here and off they go but I do not see to many boats up there realy.I think it has to do with that big drop after bear creek!
I figure I am visiting and most of the guides live there localy,so I give them as much room as they are willing to take and usually they just move on anyways.A recreational boater I usualy just sit down and say hello and let them move on.
I have only had a guy fish threw the my water once and I got a nice silver right of his stern so it was all funny anyways.
I think the sol duc weeds out some of the crowd so there is a little more respect for other fishermen then compared to the hoh or the bogy.
