Let me state for the record I do not own a curado SF. But a few months ago I was in the market for one. While I was talking with the Shimano repairman at John's Sporting Goods in Everett, he told me he was seeing an inordinate amount of these reels in for repair. His advice to me was to stay with the standard model curado. Reasons being, the wiffle spool seems to allow river water, egg juice, etc to work its way into the insides of the reel itself, causing a breakdown. I would like to hear from any hardcore users of this reel if they find this to be true.......c/22
