I own a few lamiglass rods. One since I was a teenager over 15 years ago. They are great, but one thing to consider if you only have one rod is the down time if something happens to it. I had a problem with the last one I bought and had to send it in to get it replaced. You can miss a whole season waiting for it. Other rod manufactures will allow the stores to simply give you a new one right on the spot. For this reason I have been buying the Berkley IM7 from bi-mart. I am tough on rods especially my bank rods. If I ever have a problem even after stepping on one and breaking it or anything for that matter they simply hand you a new one. No rod is any good if it is not in your hand.
