Baddawg, some of the best king bites are on the fast tides at Sekiu typical of July. A couple days after the opener it will really be ripping on the ebb, but just at peak current. Forget the tide book and look up the current chart for Juan de Fuca Strait. At peak ebb it can be tough to keep the bait down, but if you have a good maneuverable boat and a good kicker motor, you can keep down, depending on how you fish. Often the bite will be good an hour or so before peak ebb, and there is typically a daylight bite regardless of the tide.
