When I use to subscribe to Hunting and Fishing news I would write down the bait and tackle shops phone numbers within there articles. Before I would go fishing I would call these numbers to find out CURRENT river conditions and if ask if fishing was good. Problem with fishing is that. Some people catch them and some dont. I also realized that some bait and tackle shops will say anything to get you to there river to get your buisness. My best advice is " enjoy the fishng regardless if you catch them or not" You'll always go home satisfied.
