I think some guys get WAY to serious about smells. Come on like salmon and steelhead grow up knowing what we, and lure factories smell like, PLEASE! The plug has to dive good, have good action, be the right color, a fresh wrap, be tuned correctly, and most importantly be in front of fish!!!! The only reason I see to wash plugs is to keep them from loosing color and like strike-zone said, get the old funk off, I could care less about my scent, a freash dino wrap will cure that. Unless every salmon I've ever caught on k-fish was a freak accident.
