Back in the early 90's I worked in a fish cannery in Cordova Alaska. Needless to say there wasn't much salmon after the Valdez spill. So, after 6 weeks I decided to hitchhike home to the good ol' Skagit Valley. Ferry to Whittier, train under the mountain to Portage, a bus ride to Anchorage, a day and a half in the Anchorage airport after the mountain blew, a cab ride to the edge of town, and about a week on the Alcan highway. Anyways, to make a long story short, I brought home two of those fillet knives with the gutting spoon, real nice ones! But, I'll be darned if I know whatever happened to 'em.
