I hit the Clackamas on Sunday morning (6/23) just below River Mill Dam. There are plenty of springers, they're rolling/jumping everywhere. Many of them are dark but a good number are still reasonably fresh, although none are chrome. There were quite a few anglers (20-30), mostly on the other side (McIver Park). Most folks were using floats with eggs or shrimp.

I picked up a nice 23lb buck on eggs. It was still fairly bright, although it had some color to it. I saw a few other fish hooked and a couple that were released (unclipped fish). In all, it was a bit slow but I can't complain.

Another angler said that area has been quite productive lately, particularly in the late afternoon and early evening. So it's worth a try. But be careful wading if they're generating power. It's very slick and when they're generating, the water can be treacherous. Good luck.
