Sunday we caught several for gator bait. We anchored in 8' of water the shad were up off the bottom so we were fishing about 4' down using either divers or very long droppers. Chartruse grubs and red/white dick nites were the ticket for us.

To get there head upstream, past beacon rock. The next batch of boats you see anchored on the north side of the channel close to the shore of an island (Ives) will give the spot away.
