The prime time for the northern coho (the big silvers) at Sekiu is the end of September and the first half of October. The state record was broken for coho 3 times in about as many weeks last year from the middle of Sept on. The fishing for silvers the first two weeks of October last year was great. We caught many fish in the mid teens and the largest being 18 1/4 lbs. We used coyote spoons and sonic edge spoons primarily though coho killers and whole herring worked well also. The dephts which produced the most fish were between 40 - 80 feet. Some of the commercial trollers that I spoke to like to fish from 80 - 120 feet, so go deeper if you are only hitting smaller fish. Unfortunately this year they are shutting down the fishing at the end of Sept. I'll definitely be there the last several weeks of Sept.
