i don't don't know much about macks, but i do know if you fish the lower part of the lake you have to by an indian res. licence. the other thing i know is look out for any hint of wind, that part of montana is famous for it's major gusts that can last for days and on flathead it can start in a blink. and there is no messing with as much open surface as that for gusts to get going on. be careful, good luck.
