I'd have to agree with Auntym. We were down the beginning of last week, hit several fish every day, while all around us were moaning about how slow it was. I have talked to several folks this week who are hitting fish every day. I think the key is getting deeper than what worked last year - 14 to 30 pulls on a delta diver. We did better in the evening than in the morning - the evening high slack was good for at least four fish on, three days in a row. On one of the tides, we hit seven for three rods, all inside of half an hour. Then we went home and had a cold one.

Time is on our side, here. The fish are already present, and the cooler weather is going to keep them coming in.
