You should be fine. I fished it for many years with no fish finder, depth finder or GPS. Just a compass. But, if the fog rolls in I would either go in or keep periodically re-finding the bay so that you don't drift out to sea. Believe it or not but I have hooked whopper hook nose on many occasions pulling circles in front of the caves when everyone else is fishing miles out.
