My favorite tide change is an early morning outgoing, within a couple hrs of daylite. I also like tides changes that are not as heavy. Kings are lazy and don't like working for a meal, and I don't need as much lead to hit bottom. I think peak time is an hr before to an hr after a change. If I can't hit a tide that I really like,I make sure to fish some kind of tide.

P.S. If your reading a tide book there's always a page with tide corrections. That means you need to add or subtract time and feet to get the correct tide for a specific area.
