All right, I am not a complete idiot, I know that the depth of a diver will depend on the size/weight of the diver and the speed of the troll but......

Does anyone know an equation of some sort to use for # of feet of line(pulls) to depth? I always get the feeling that I am not deep enough or too deep. Yeah, I know downriggers would make this really simple to answer but I don't have any.

I am using the largest pink lady, 7oz weight, max depth is supposed to be around 200 feet if you believe the package. Not too practicle if you have to let out 600 feet of line to get there though!

I need some answers...I want to go for some coho this coming week.
