The discussion elsewhere on 4 strokes vs 2 strokes started with, "I got my motor stolen..." which makes me want to ask this question: I have my kicker locked on the boat with one of the bar locks that clamps over the clamp handles. This is the kind that appears to be channel steel in sort of a 'U' shape, that slides over the clamp handles after the motor is clamped on. There is no lock hasp to be cut with bolt cutters.

Has anyone ever had a thief successfully steal a motor that was locked with one of these types of locks? If so, how did it happen? Did they have to use a torch?
