I know I love to catch more dead chums than live ones. The dead ones fight OK.....I guess.

Instead of chucking the freshly striped chums in to the salt why don't they take them to a river/stream bed where they can really do some good? I am not a scientist, but I think I remember reading some where that dead fish provide much needed food for smolt and fry.
