This tread was not about ethics!

A member simply asked a question about fishing around a redd. How would the ordinary once in while fisher ever know what you and I know?

He asked a simple question, and he deserves to have a simple answer without getting into the ethics of fishing. He just wanted to know if it was legal or not!

You know as well as I know, that if you were to ask 4 WDFW enforcement officers a question, you would most likely get 3 different answers!

We are told to abide by the fishing laws and the regulations are the only law that the common once a month fisherman can understand. As you very well know many people fish the redds. But this one should get your attention, In many rivers, other then the OP, why not take some of those terrible hatchery fish out of production?
For every hatchery fish that survive, maybe one or two wild fish will be sacrificed.

You know better then most, and you know how I feel about fishing on any redds, be it a hatchery or wild redd, so why would you say to me "Go ahead and fish for them if you want. Anyone who does deserves whatever they get, I guess." Or did I mis-interpolate your reply?

Salmo, for years we seemed to be able to meet almost weekly it seemed. Now we only get to talk over the net! I miss BS'in with you!

I think we know each other better then that…right?
