The UW gave Rick a 1.5 million dollar loan - one he doesn't have to pay back if he sticks around for the end of his contract. Add to that the standard $600,000 yearly salary, and any team would have to shell out $2.1 million now just to negotiate with him.

Top that off with a nice raise/bonus of something close to 2 million a year, and, well....nowayinhell are any teams seriously thinking of Rick, especially UCLA.

Rick is stickin' around at the UW for a while. Oh sure, he's got some recruiting "issues", but hey, he's a lawyer.

What can you honestly expect from a lawyer? It's in their nature to bend the rules a bit! Just wish he would stop getting caught wink

As for Gesser, he's a darn good QB. Expect to see him playing on Sundays in the near future. Too bad (not really) he never beat the Dawgs or won a Rose Bowl. Oh well, does that all really matter after you've won a SuperDuper Bowl?
