Turned out to be a good plan! Only about 12 fishermen at the point through out the day. Still not real hot but some nice fish did come in. about 50/50 chrome to boot ratio. I did manage to land a smallish chrome buck. And got a good scare/laugh when my bud hooked into a big boot late in the day and got so excited he stumbled, and fell right in front of me as he was trying to chase the fish down. Had to grab him by the scruff and pull him out. All 280# of him. The guys a real schleprock but he did get me into fishing about ten years ago, and is always good for a laugh.
