If it is about the Burner/Reichert race, then I'll make a little comment...if it's not, well, sorry for the hijack!

KK, I think it's great that you volunteered for a candidate...it's not the *most* that anyone can do, but it's a damn sight more than 99.9% of us ever do in our political system. I hope you feel some sense of participation and accomplishment even if your candidate didn't pull out the win.

And on pulling out a win...Reichert's going to be our guy, it looks like. When an incumbent faces a virtual unknown, with little to no public service, and the results of the race aren't known for a week after the election because the race was so close, then while not a "win" per se, it is still a victory.

The Reichert camp, much like the Bush camp this week, has had a wakeup call, and will have to change the ways they do business a little, and that's good for all of us. Reichert, unlike many, many others, will have a chance not only to "get the message", but will have a chance to do something with it...the others' "messages" were to pack their bags, and now they're out of the loop.

A representative who is better in touch with his or her constituents' feelings is a better representative for all of us, regardless of what party they belong to.

Fish on...

Todd
