While I don't own one of the Quarrow salmon/steelhead blanks, I do have a low-end 4-weight fly rod. It is really quite good.

FYI-- Quarrow is an Oklahoma company which has been making rods and blanks for a number of rod companies, some of which are pretty high end. As I recall, one of them starts with an O and another has two Ls in the name. Don't disregard the rods before you fish them. They might be quite good.

If you're looking for a new rod, check out the Rapala salmon and steelhead rods. They have a couple of models that are 9'6" and feel awesome. I'd hoped to fish them a bit this winter, but with the way work has been going and the lack of steelhead, I'll have to wait for blackmouth to open up.
