That one I am holding a picked up motor mooching with 17 feet of line out ona whole herring working the kelp beds in a bout 40 feet of water. Picked up one right about the same size in the same exact spot a few days later off the downrigger. That one took about two hours to land. It hit an 11'4'' noodle rod with an islander reel loaded with 15lb izor line. Good thing it was gut hooked or we would have never landed it. The one I got in July came a couple miles offshore fishing some under water structure. I was working bottom bait in the sand flats that was piled up around a pinnacle. It was a 63 lb buck.
