I've got the Humminbird tribeam, it will see fish out to the side at a 45 degree angle and works real well in estuary fishing - particularly useful trolling the shallows for springers, but I have caught silvers on cast spoons sight-fishing with it. I do most of my fall fishing in less than 30 feet of water out here on the coast (CR, Willapa, GH) so that side scan feature is a must have in my opinion
