I like glass for plug rods because the tips tend to be softer that most graphite rods. The soft tip lets you tell what’s going on down there a little better and maybe lets the plug work a little harder. I've got four old glass rods that I built in a past incarnation; I think they Lamiglass. Ugly as a frozen dog’s ass but still catch fish. Aw, hell, let’s face it. I'm just an old fart that likes to fish with his old gear.
