musta been ten or twelve yrs ago, friend of mine came to visit and (whatta surprise) we had to do some fishin. On the way to the river we stopped to "top off" our tackle and he decided that he had better re-spool. He let the store employee talk him into the McCoy (sumthin about Dave Krieg being involved w/it --or endorsing it?) line. Anyway, the stuff flat out sucked!! Breaking strength was way below what it was rated for and knot strength was lousy too. Maybe he just got a bad batch but it sure ruined the trip for him. Haven't tried it since.
