You may want to post your Coon Is. inquiry on Ifish.net alot more OR fishers on that board could help you out.

I've fished the channel last year around St. Helens and also heard people talking of the Coon Is. area, but I don't know where it is. My guess is it's about half way in the channel between the Columbia and Willamette, somewhere along Sauvies Is. You may also try entering a search for St. Helens, OR on terraserver.com and get maps of the river.
