When we fish we like to set up a troll pattern and stick to it for a few hours or more before moving. This is because sometimes you can fish the same spot all morning and then as soon as the "bite turns on" you will nail a couple fish. You just never know when that will happen.

I tend to sway from making big runs in the middle of the fishing day to other water because it takes away from fishing time.
We might hi-tail it back to the head of the troll if if want to keep fishing in the same direction, but rarley bail from a place like Manchester up to Jeff Head right in the middle of the fishing morning.

I say go to a good spot, get all your gear out and everything set right, then keep fishing until the bite turns on.
