I agree with Troller. If the Skookumchuck is a zipper then I am a lot better looking than I think I am!! This is the only river that I know of in the South Sound that is open to steelheading in April. You have to travel down to the Cowlitz/Kalama or up to the N Fork Stilly to find steelheading in April. I dearly remember the first steelhead I ever caught. April 30th on the Skook. This is not a zipper (not sure if there truly are any left in Washington State) and all of the folks that jumped this kid should be ashamed of themselves.
