good news first, found a new zipper today with sturgio, we started at the upper most open water, waded a mile and a half of water downstream in 4 hours, not a soul in site the whole day nor a single piece of trash anywhere...even met one super nice landowner who came down from his house to see how things were going, after B.S.ing for 20 minutes while floating jigs, he said we could use his property for access(11 acres) anytime...as for the fishing, i landed one beautiful 8# native hen that i could have sworn had a rocket up her arse cause she had some spectacular leaps...removed the jig/worm combo, got the camera out for a few snapshots, wiggle wiggle and the fish slipped out of my hands and back in the water before we could get one snapped...it figures that i'd find such a wonderful place now, tomorrow is the last day the upper portion is open...be back there in the morning...how long of a piece of worm do you like to tip your jigs with for float fishing?? i was only using about the last two inches of the tail of a seducer on a 1/4 oz jig on that fish today...maybe longer will produce more strikes but less hookups possibly because of the length???
