I did this poll both here and on the IFish site. As you might have guessed, the 24 respondents on IFIsh, which is primarily Oregon anglers, voted 71% bobbers. On this board the respoinse was completley opposite, with about 80% saying its a float. Soooo, I guess the correct answer is - it depends on where you are fishing. Personally I think the term bobber represnets those red and white things.
