I usually refrain because this subject just makes me sick! I need to vent...just once!

Quote:
The only shadow cast over these record years is the poor performance of the market prices for wild coho and Chinook salmon. Quileute fishermen are struggling to survive on 50 cents a pound for Chinook and 20 cents a pound for coho at its lowest last fall
Open a casino....

Speaking of ... where is all the money from the casinos, smoke shops, fireworks stands and other miscellaneous items going? No tax and federal assistance? With the amount of money all the casinos rake in, the entire state should be retired by the time everyone is 40!

we will continue to improve habitat and river conditions where we can and manage our escapement levels closely for the benefit of tribal and non-tribal fishermen alike
"our" ??? I guess they own the river too!

I would be curious to know just how many of these fish go to waste... Kinda reminds me of picture of all those salmon on the barges in 1910... or how 'bout those poor Chums piled up in Hood Canal?

Nets make me sick... (Easy... insert puker here too!)

Done venting...

Downriggin'
