Hey I am new to Salmon and Steelhead fishing. I have no idea on selecting a pole and reel and could use some help. I will be riverbank fishing and someone told me to use a hotshot and sideplaner setup. Can someone explain the technique for this and suggestions on selecting gear for this type of fishing? Any help I can get on this would be most helpful. Thanks all.
