I was at the Edmonds marina this afternoon to watch 4 or 5 commercial boats unload hundreds of pounds of shrimp caught out in front. Today is the 8th and sport shrimping opens on the 19th....I guess the tribes (2 natives and 8 white guys) got to fish for 8 hours but had hundreds of pots...They were selling fresh shrimp for $7.00 per # off their boats ...No fish tickets I presume??? Oh well I hope all you sporties appreciate your 15% share..after all ,you guys contribute about 80% of the revenue for your 15% share. Oh I forgot, the WDFW commissioners have to provide a "viable" commercial fishery...and the tribes get their 50% or 60% or 70 % off the top before anyone else.
