Spring Chinook in the upper 30's is rare. Almost all are either the low to mid teens (12-17lbs) or in the mid 20lb range. A 37lber is a six year old fish. Very rare indeed. Congrats on a springer of a lifetime! beer

Eddie - Spring Chinook landed within the restricted zone (marked by buoys) of the Wind River don't have to have an adipose clip. Those are fish headed to the Carson National Fish Hatchery. Natural reproduction of spring Chinook in the Wind River is minimal, unfortunately.
